La Figa Photo: Taken by Eden Nelson (my daughter)

My daughter Eden and I headed into downtown Seattle this afternoon. We explored the shops in China town, ate sushi at a cute little sushi bar and then headed to my photo shoot with Tiberio and Matt for La Figa…as I mentioned in my earlier post, Eden is an aspiring artist, fashion designer and photographer. She was so excited not only to see the city (it was her first time visiting Seattle) but also to attend the shoot. As a deeply empowered young woman, she was fully comfortable during the shoot.

In fact, even though she was politely asked not to (such a free spirit) she took one photo during the shoot using the flash, which set off the larger flashes. She had a vision in her mind and was determined to make it happen. During the car ride home, she prattled on about how much fun it was and continued to express that she wanted to take the picture she took and create her own La Figa masterpiece…Matt and Tiberio were so sweet towards Eden. They even took a few pictures of her and I together. Eden has insisted that I share this photo on my blog. I didn’t know until today, but apparently Eden has been reading my blog for 4 months! She says it’s pretty cool:-) Decent compliment coming from a 15 year-old:-)

I hope Matt and Tiberio don’t mind me sharing Eden’s photo with you (taken with my digital Pentax SLR)…She is positive you will like it:-) Sweet dreams, from Joy and Eden…

PS: in honor of Tiberio’s passion for food, I will share that my body is covered with: cucumber, honeydew melon, watermelon, lemon, orange, colored sugar and the most beautiful fruit…star fruit!

Thank you for listening to Eden, this is one of the best photos I have seen of you. She followed her intuition and created something etherial !

of course as a photographer I am interested in seeing what the others came up with !

      Hey Jeff,

Yes, she was so excited to create…she also now has been able to see how something like this is created and is planning future shoots with her as the body painter…I am also interested to see a comparison…Thanks for your appreciation of Ede’s creation. I did not realize she has been reading my blog. If anyone wants to address her directly, apparently she’ll be reading:-)

I’ve come to this post a bit late, but I can only echo what the others have said. A lovely image of a lovely person.
