I'll Take You There…

I am afraid….that’s what she said…as I guided her to my massage table…My eyes filled with compassion. This is a typical response from a woman who has “history” and is about to embark on a “Tantric journey within”. I knew not whether she felt apprehensive because she was opening her mind, body and spirit to a stranger…whether it was because she was worried that she might actually feel arousal during our session….which might be “taboo” because we are both women…or whether there was something deeper…darker…lurking beneath the surface of her subconscious mind….

I was about to find out…but the rest of this story is her story…not for me to share…my intention for leaving you hanging? To spark something in you…to allow you to dig deep within….to check in and see if you have something lurking…something beneath the surface of your subconscious mind…something that you might even be ready to let go of…to remind you that…for some of us…Tantra, sacred sexuality….self loving, partner exploration or even professional sessions within a safe environment with a trusted practitioner…can be a way to let go, heal, dig deep and transform! NOW! Muwah…from my heart to yours, Joy

My sessions are so individualized….one thing about my approach is that I keep sessions within non-sexual boundaries…the only time these boundaries are crossed is with women working on self exploration and/or sexual healing. In other words, there is not a sexual gratification focus…whereas some practitioners are completely open to sexual interaction…for me, I have different beliefs and a different approach. There are some practitioners who feel that no sensual interaction on any level…nor and bodywork should be part of a session, while others may feel that the whole body must be included for the session to be “Tantric”.

Tantra…especially within a personal setting is open to interpretation. There are as many approaches as there are practitioners. So read, study, communicate with others in the field…search within and find out what your perception is…and how you wish to express yourself within a professional setting…

Sometimes, gentle provocation is called for! As Osho says: “It’s fine and natural to be shaky, but don’t let it overshadow the opportunity.” Namasté
