Over the past few weeks I have contemplated this blog. It is still getting tonnes of visitors, but I am finding that it is not the active online community it once was. I realize that I have pulled away from talking as much about my personal life and the intimacy in my life. It was a conscious decision on my part to focus on more broad topics and less on my life. I guess it is not working as well as I might have hoped. To be honest, I even find myself feeling a little bored with it.
To be clear, it is not easy to meet a total stranger online or offline and have them know such intimate details about me. One time during a session, I was sharing a story as a teaching tool in a session and my client said “Oh yeah, I read about that on you blog…intense!” It was intense alright…I ended up feeling truly vulnerable. I originally began writing this blog just to write. At some point, it took shape and began to tell at least part of my life story.
Then I went through and deleted most of the more personal blog posts. There are so many, clearly I missed a few because a new reader just made an excellent observation about The Bliss of Love. For people who are wanting to work with me, it is difficult for them to understand what it is that I offer. It is not massage, it is not meditation, Hypnotherapy, Energy healing, yoga, or life coaching, yet my work definitely incorporates various aspects of a variety of healing arts practices, including the above mentioned.
I will lay it on the line for you and for me. As of tomorrow, I will begin focusing on intimacy again. It seems that one of my roles in life is to offer a healthy and inspirational example of what true love and bliss look like. This week alone I worked with at least 5 clients who had little to no intimacy in their marriages. Each of them has accepted their fate on a level just because the relationship isn’t fresh and new.
That makes me sad. I want to be a beacon of light at the end of the tunnel. I want to be the one who helps people realize that even in a long-term monogamous relationship, deep, soulful intimacy is possible! That’s all she wrote.
From my heart to yours,
